My name is John Damen and I live in Holland. Since 1975 when Johnny Cecotto came to Europe to compete motorcycle Grand Prix racing he has been my idol. When in 1981 Cecotto stopped motorcycle racing and switched to car racing nothing changed for me at all. Johnny stayed active in motorsport with 2002 being his last full championship year and now he occasionally still does some separate races. For all he has done in his racing history he deserves to be remembered. So this website is dedicated to Johnny Cecotto and gives you an insight in his live and career in motorsport which has lasted more than 30 years. Now his son Johnny Cecotto junior also started his racing career as well and so probably this site will maintain for some decennia. It seems a person is using a community account on "Facebook" who supposes to be Johnny Cecotto. Some people already contacted me about this to ask if this is really Johnny. Understand that this is NOT Johnny Cecotto (senior)!!

I have verified this with Johnny and there is no such way to get in contact with him so please don't let yourself being

fooled with these kind of things. But of course it's your own decision to register to it or not.....

Johnny Cecotto jr. won race 1 and was 2nd in race 2 for the German F3 championship at Assen. A story is available now in "reports"!! Johnny Cecotto jr. finished 2nd in the first race in F3 at Hockenheim!!
