My name is John Damen and I live in Holland. Since 1975 when Johnny Cecotto came to Europe to compete motorcycle Grand Prix racing he has been my idol. When in 1981 Cecotto stopped motorcycle racing and switched to car racing nothing changed for me at all. Johnny stayed active in motorsport with 2002 being his last full championship year and now he occasionally still does some separate races. For all he has done in his racing history he deserves to be remembered. So this website is dedicated to Johnny Cecotto and gives you an insight in his live and career in motorsport which has lasted more than 30 years. Now his son Johnny Cecotto junior also started his racing career as well and so probably this site will maintain for some decennia. UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!! I'm sorry for this but it seems that everything I did sent to Johnny is lost in the post. Johnny Cecotto was 12th in both races in GP2 at the Istanbul circuit in Turkey Johnny Cecotto was 4th in race 2 in GP2 at Monaco after starting from 9th position Johnny Cecotto started from 23rd position in race 1 of GP2 in Monaco and finished 9th!!
