My name is John Damen and I live in Holland. Since 1975 when Johnny Cecotto came to Europe to compete motorcycle Grand Prix racing he has been my idol. When in 1981 Cecotto stopped motorcycle racing and switched to car racing nothing changed for me at all. Johnny stayed active in motorsport with 2002 being his last full championship year and now he occasionally still does some separate races. For all he has done in his racing history he deserves to be remembered. So this website is dedicated to Johnny Cecotto and gives you an insight in his live and career in motorsport which has lasted more than 30 years. Now his son Johnny Cecotto junior also started his racing career as well and so probably this site will maintain for some decennia. IMPORTANT NEWS !!!

Johnny Cecotto competed at the 200 Miglia Imola Revival in Italy on Saturday October 2nd. It was a very special moment in history as for Johnny never raced on a motorcycle after 1980 so far during a classic event. Of course we were there to report about this great happening at the circuit of Imola!

The first 2 races in Super Trofeo Lamborghini at Vallelunga are won by Cecotto sr./Cecotto jr.!! Johnny Cecotto sr. & jr. 5th in free practice at Vallelunga in Super Trofeo Lamborghini (see news section) Johnny Cecotto will be present at the 200 Miglia Imola Revival on October 2. & 3. Johnny Cecotto sr. & jr. will race together in the Super Trofeo Lamborghini at Vallelunga on September 25. & 26.
